I'm sure there might be a mere handful of you who really appreciate the wonders of the band WEEN. Probably like 8 of you right? I was lucky enough to be introduced to them by my ex ex boyfriend, and it's one of the greatest things he ever did for me.
Saturday night's show was OFF THE CHAIN. They played the inside venue of Fort Lauderdale's smoky music haven "Revolution" The last two times i saw them they played the outdoor setting. And i'm not sure what to attribute this particularly spectacular show to...could it be the indoor acoustics, or the fact that the boys (Dean and Gene) are recently off the hard stuff, meaning their usual wacky artistic lubricant consisting of drugs and alcohol. Whatever the reason, if not both, It was a great show.
My only complaint, is that due to their recent sobriety they did not wander in to the Poorhouse Bar next door. Luckily the drummer(a mix of Lionel Richie, Bryant Gumble and Stuart Copeland) did.
That's me in the middle of the picture by the way. A true groupie always gets the closest!
